All coaches, assistant coaches, managers, trainers and team moms/dads MUST submit to a background check and fingerprinting. Please note that this procedure needs to be complete prior to coaching any practices or games.
Applications are available at the Washington Twp Parks and Recreation Office, 2 McClure Drive off of Greentree Road and across from the Washington Twp Police Station. Office hours are normally: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You may call the office (856) 589-3227 if you have any questions.
The procedure is as follows:
· The application is picked up at the Parks and Recreation Office
· The coach contacts Sagem Morpho online at www.bioapplicant.com/nj, or at 877-503-5981 to schedule an appointment for background check and fingerprinting.
· The coaches bring back the form with a receipt attached. The cost is currently being paid by the Megan Kanka Foundation. (If you don’t bring the form back, you will be billed)
· When coaches bring back the form, we will black out your Social Security Number.
· Copies will be made with the originals going to the Megan Kanka Foundation.
· Once we hear the coach is clear, we will set up a time to come in to have their photo taken and an identification card made up. They will be provided with the card and a lanyard to wear when the coaches are involved with a sport program
· The card will be good for three (3) years.
